QR code help
Why does my QR code say "This code is currently inactive"?
That message appears when the code's owner has turned it off or deleted it. Deleted and inactive codes keep their short link but show this page instead of the destination. A visitor cannot fix it; the owner can.
Common causes
- The owner set the code to inactive.
- The code was deleted from the workspace.
- A campaign ended and the code was retired on purpose.
How to fix it
- If you are a visitor, contact the business or person who shared the code and tell them it is inactive.
- If you own the code, open the workspace and set its status back to active.
- If it was deleted and you need it back, create a replacement and use the same destination. Printed links of deleted codes cannot be reassigned.
- If you meant to retire it, point it to a useful page instead.
How to prevent it
Before retiring a printed code, change its destination to a page that explains what happened.
Frequently asked questions

Is the scan history lost?
