Why does my QR code open the wrong page?
A code opens the wrong page when its destination was entered or changed incorrectly, a scheduled window picked another page, the wrong printed batch was used, or the page itself redirects. Open the code in your workspace and compare the destination with what you scanned.
Common causes
- The destination has a typo or points to a test page.
- A scheduled destination, such as a breakfast or dinner menu, is active at that time.
- A bulk print run mixed up codes.
- The address is missing https:// and is treated as plain text.
- The destination page redirects to a login or another region.
How to fix it
- Scan the code and note the address shown before opening.
- Open the code in the workspace and check the current destination and its history.
- If you use schedules, check the time zone and the active window.
- Compare the printed short link with the one in the workspace. Use the bulk results file to match names to codes.
- Open the destination in a private window to see what a visitor sees.
- Restore an earlier destination from history if a recent edit caused it.
How to prevent it
Name every code clearly, group by campaign folder, and test after each destination change.
