QR code help
Why does my PDF QR code ask people to sign in or request access?
The PDF is stored with sharing set to private or limited. A code cannot bypass that. Make the document viewable by anyone with the link, test it in a private window, and avoid links that expire.
Common causes
- Sharing is limited to named people or one organization.
- The link expires.
- The file lives on an internal network or intranet.
- The file was moved or renamed.
How to fix it
- Change sharing to anyone with the link can view, if the document is meant to be public.
- Open the link in a private window and on mobile data.
- Avoid temporary or expiring links.
- Host the file on your own website at a stable address.
- If the file moves, update the managed code's destination.
How to prevent it
Never test a public code while signed in as yourself.
