QR code help
Why does my event QR code show the wrong time or date?
Time zones and daylight saving cause most date errors. A time entered in one zone and shown in another looks wrong. Print the local date, time and time-zone label on the event page, and check what a visitor actually sees.
Common causes
- The time was entered as UTC and not converted.
- The device shows another time zone.
- Daylight-saving changes were forgotten.
- The registration form shows a different date.
How to fix it
- Convert the event time carefully and verify the displayed result.
- Write the local date, time and zone on the page.
- Check the registration form dates match.
- Update the destination if the event moves.
How to prevent it
Include the date in plain text on the invitation as well as in the code.
